Alyssa's RST

Alyssa, born on January 17,1998, is a Winnipeg born musician best known for her bubbly personality, and fun loving ways. From a very young age in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she had already adapted an exponential attraction to everything music, despite growing up in a practically music-less family. Alyssa's mother, Joy, enjoyed singing leisurely, but other than that, she had few musical influences. The first documented song that Alyssa had sung was The Sign, performed by Ace of Base, which played on the radio as her father, David, drove her to and from preschool. As she grew older, she had entered a new, private school called St. Charles Catholic School. There she made new friends, found new interests, and eventually began to stray away from music. Music became a background activity after school, and sports to her. After Alyssa's crazy principal forced her to play violin as her elective, she had become passionate about music once again. This started an ever-growing passion for multiple other instruments such as the tuba, guitar, drums, and most importantly, vocals. Vocals have always been a critical aspect to her life. In 2011, Alyssa's parents, Joy, and Rick Franklin, had received an invitation to pack up their lives, and move to Ottawa, Ontario. Alyssa made many friends, and joined many clubs as well. Her hobbies are singing, learning new music, playing guitar, attempting to learn new instruments, and hanging out with her friends. Her previous volunteering opportunities have been volunteering for the Calgary Civic Center, mentoring and guiding young kids through various summer camps. In the future, Alyssa hopes to continue guitar, and vocals, continue writing and learning new songs, and perform much more.
