My Song Introduction (Guitar Gr.12):
- Title: One Way Ticket To Hell
- Genre: Country/ Blues- The song fits this genre as it has many of the classic instruments country music has such as electric guitar, drums, bass, slide guitar. It fits sort of a blues genre as well as it follows a 12 bar blues formatting.
- Instrumentation: Rhythem Guitar (Ethan), Lead Electric Guitar (Me), Slide Guitar (Sam L), Drums (Zach), Bass(Ryan), Vocals (Sam C), Cow Bell (Eric), Keys (Nick S)
- Story Behind My Song: I was playing at home one day and found a really cool country blues lick that fit into a really simple chord progression, but yet sounded so cool and complex. Then Sam C and Sam L and I got together and started playing around for about 10 minutes. Sam ended up writing some lyrics for the song. Then Sam L and I decided to make this song together and add 8 different parts. Once we got 8 people playing different instruments, we started to jam and this is what came out. The lyrics are about a small town country boy that loses everything including his soul to the devil, and he finds his "one way ticket to hell". Shout out to everyone in the song, who help us out creating it. It was a lot of fun!
