Grace's RST

Grace is a grade 12 student who loves music! In her 18 years of life, Grace has been a member of 5 choirs and is well trained in classical music performance. She started reading sheet music when she was in grade 3 in the Kanata Children's Chorus. Her parents have encouraged her to pursue music since a young age. She has been singing since she could talk, as you can see on old home videos! She is naturally strong at sight reading rhythms and pitches. Grace is currently in the Ottawa Catholic School Board Chamber Choir. Her musical interests include classical, jazz, alternative, and acoustic pop. This is her fourth year in vocal class. Last year she was given the privilege of being a project leader in vocal class, where she successfully arranged performances at Chartwell Seniors Residence, and March Academy. She was also a project leader for guitar class last semester where she helped produce 2 shows. Grace will be attending Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia for a Bachelors in Music Therapy in September and she is going to miss All Saints very much.

Vocal Composition
This song is about being reluctant to grow up and leave home, but knowing that you'll always have the memories. It's about having one last kick butt summer to remember forever.

Verse 1
Em, C, G, D
two roads infront of me
im sorry i couldnt take both
but we lived so carefree
in our little town that we've outgrown
Verse 2
Em, C, G, D
last chance to make memories as the
bitter sweet comes in the fall
with every last bit of energy
we wont waste it at all
Pre Chorus
C, G, Em, D
but if you take a piece of me, and ill take a piece of you
Chorus
G, Em, C, D
maybe we can go back to the days when music played dancing in the rain
drinking lemonade from crazy straws if we could only put our life on pause
and think about how we figured out which road we had to chose
i hope that one day mine leads me back to you
Verse 3
Em, C, G, D
though we try we know the tears will shed
since the day our caps fly in the air
no one knows what lies ahead
but in this moment we just don't care
Bridge
C, G, Em, D
but if you take a piece of me, and ill take a piece of you
(you know I'd let you take all of me, but we've still got so much to do)
