Related Experience/Musical Accomplishments
Other than the school guitar class, Hay was apart of the school band. Hay played percussion which involved learning rhythm patterns and playing the drum kit, Timpanis, Wind chimes, and Triangle. This was also the time where Hay learned that he didn’t want to be in an orchestra but pursue solely guitar and sports. Hay’s biggest musical accomplishment is teaching himself to play guitar through the internet and talking to musicians in his area. A cool accomplishment is that Hay was selected to MC the prestigious Music Showcase. All the high schools in the Ottawa area compete for a prize and university music programs come to watch these performances.
